OMG I wish you guys would get the info out a bit better. I live right down the street in Clearwater and I would have been there. I am a former first class. I worked for Amtark and the Sacramento Southern out of CA for 15 years. May I suggest 2 locations you could post. Clearly you would be aware of the giant led Pinellas sign on the corner by Publix and another place you could advertise in case you are not aware is the LARGO park on the corner of Bay and Seminole
Model Railroad Clubs don't have the budget for that.They have a FB page and its advertised at all train shows throughout Florida I also have a live stream every week where I advertise all the train shows in Florida and surrounding stated

I like to see on the table not just a 2D plan. My problem besides being a complete novice, is I want to use flex track, but bending and cutting and points etc are hard to put down temporarily, just to get the visual. Can you provide some advice. My layout is 6ft x 8ft HO scale. ( I say my layout loosely as it's mostly in my head 😂)
I use curved sectional track to plot out my visuals then trace them on the wood then install the flex track. When a turnout is involved. I start laying the turnouts first. It takes practice and a cutting jig to cut the flex track. If you have to use a curve on a short piece, it's easier to cut a sectional curve than a flex.
Why do you need 5 minutes of crap to start?
Most live streams start with a 5 to 10 minute intro to allow the viewers to settle in a chat amongst themselves Since you watched the replay, you have the option to skip to any portion of the video of your choosing

Why are you using flux when the solder has the correct amount of flux already in it?
The flux in the solder is for the solder only. Flux cleans the surrounding area for better flow

True for a linear type WW. There really is no useable wire in a SM type. Even less in a capacitive dropper.

Check the status of your com port in device manager. Windows may not see it, or you selected the wrong port in the setup
